In the picturesque setting of the Bavarian Forest, a special event for art and nature lovers opens on December 26th. In the Haus zur Wilderness, Ludwigsthal, visitors can visit Gabi Hanner's new exhibition entitled “The Poetry of the Wilderness”. The opening will take place on January 24, 2026 at 3:30 p.m. and admission is free. Opening times are daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., so everyone has the opportunity to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of natural art.

Gabi Hanner, a freelance sculptor and painter from Freyung, has a deep connection to nature, which is reflected in her work. Growing up in the wilderness of the Steinklamm in Spiegelau, she experienced the essential relationship between humans and nature at an early age. Her works of art, which have been presented in numerous exhibitions both at home and abroad since 1991, impressively represent this symbiosis. She primarily uses clay, which she processes in archaic and abstract forms.

Art, people and nature in harmony

The exhibition will take visitors on a journey through the wilderness they experience and feel. With her paintings and sculptures, Gabi Hanner shows how art can strengthen the connection between people and the natural environment. Her sculptures combine the four elements – earth, water, air and fire – and invite you to reflect on your own relationship with nature. The creative process goes far beyond mere representation; she creates a dialogue between her work and the viewer.

Hanner's works are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also profound. They give the natural shapes and colors a poetic dimension. The aim of the exhibition is to present wilderness as a creative and inspiring force, accessible to everyone and thought-provoking. Those interested in culture can look forward to learning more about the interactions between art, people and nature.
