Marzling, Deutschland - The rising costs for childcare in Marzling cause excitement among the parents. A meeting between the municipality and the parents' advisory board has now led to the originally planned drastic increase in the childcare fees. Mayor Martin Ernst (CSU/FW) made it clear that the parents' resistance was not unnoticed. Instead of an increase of 15 percent for the after -school care center and 25 percent for kindergarten, fees are now increased by 12.5 percent and 20 percent. The financial expenses of the municipality are not insignificant. Marzling invests around 1.3 million euros in childcare every year. Mayor Ernst pointed out that the community pays around 500 euros per child. Planning security was guaranteed for the next two years, but the door will remain open to a possible renewed fee increase by the new municipal council in 2026 if the costs continue to increase.

Kindergarten contributions 2024/2025
- 4 hours: 104.00 euros
- 4 to 5 hours: 131.00 euros
- 5 to 6 hours: 157.00 euros
- 6 to 7 hours: 191.00 euros
- 7 to 8 hours: 218.00 euros
- 8 to 9 hours: 245.00 euros
- 9 to 10 hours: 273.00 euros
In addition, there is a one -time admission fee of 20 euros. The Free State of Bavaria also supports the families with 100 euros per month for the child's third year of life, which is deducted from fees. Families receive family allowance of 250 euros for crib children and can also apply for crib money of 100 euros if they undergo an income test.
Self -responsibility in financing
