Inclusion in the Forchheim district: Education conference inspires 80 players!
On July 2, 2025, the 5th educational conference of the Education region of Forchheim took place at the Graefenberg secondary school. Under the motto "Inclusion - we design together!" Around 80 participants met from the educational and educational system. The aim of the event was to promote the exchange and networking to promote inclusion in the Forchheim district, such as the Wiesentbote reported.
The educational office of the Forchheim district had organized the event and had discussions with the youth welfare office, teachers and other important actors in advance in order to address the topics in a targeted manner. Dr. Julia Schilling, the management of the education office, found that there is a high need for information and the desire for an intensive exchange on this important topic.
Inclusion in focus
The conference was made by District Administrator Dr. Hermann Ulm opened, who kept his greeting in "light language" to ensure accessibility for all participants. Dr. Cordula Haderlein, the head of the school office, emphasized the importance of visibility of inclusion. Sebastian Müller, head of the "Office for Easy Language" of the city of Regensburg, gave a lecture on inclusion and accessibility, which stimulated the present to think.
After a coffee break, specific topics were dealt with in four working groups that deal with the challenges of inclusion. The groups discussed, among other things, how to deal with small children, school-age children and the transition school profession. The participation of adults with disabilities was also discussed. Central problems such as unclear responsibilities, bureaucratic hurdles and lack of transparency and communication were addressed. Another major topic was the lack of resources - both financially and personnel.
future -oriented approaches
But not everything was negative. The educational office plans to better network the actors of the inclusive educational work in the district and to bundle resources. This educational conference is viewed as the first step in the creation of an inclusive society in the Forchheim district, as is the Forchheim .
The conference was a successful opportunity to exchange ideas and work together to improve the inclusive educational landscape. The question that remains is how the knowledge gained can be put into practice. In any case, the commitment of the participating hope that a more inclusive society in the Forchheim district can be created step by step.
