Cultural break in Herzogenaurach: Festival 2026 is canceled!

In 2025, Herzogenaurach has once again shown how lively and diverse the city's cultural scene is. But the 2026 cultural year begins with a downer, as the popular cultural festival has to be paused due to financial restrictions. Last year, the focus was particularly on the results of the adult education center (VHS) and the preparations for the “hin&herzo – The Cultural Festival”. The 6th edition of the festival took place from September 18th to 21st, 2025, which received a great response under the motto “CONTRASTE”. This event offered artists from all genres a platform to present their creative projects. The announcement of the hin&herzo project prize 2025 aims to recognize and support artistic or cultural initiatives and has proven to be a valuable incentive for individuals and groups.

Creative impulses and possibilities

The participants of the prize were able to apply with a meaningful concept and optional video clips until November 1, 2024. With total prize money of EUR 2,000 and the opportunity to receive fees for artistic performances, the prize became a real incentive for creative minds. The award-winning projects were then presented as part of the festival between September 26th and 28th, 2025.

The promotion of the arts is an important concern for Herzogenaurach and should continue to be actively supported in the future. But the financial challenges must now be overcome first.
