Höchstadt: 99 new skilled workers – IHK certificate day thrilled!
For many young people, the end of a training period is an important step into their professional future. And the new graduates in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district also show this. A ceremonial presentation of certificates that took place last Friday in the Forum of the Brothers of Mercy in Gremsdorf confirmed the end of an era for 99 trainees. They have successfully passed the final examinations at the IHK Nuremberg for Middle Franconia.
The guests of honor included Michael Thiem, chairman of the IHK committee Herzogenaurach-Höchstadt/Aisch, district administrator Alexander Tritthart and Knut Harmsen, head of the IHK office in Erlangen. Thiem congratulated the graduates and emphasized the importance of their newly learned skills.
A variety of degrees in the region
Of the 99 successful candidates, 68 trainees started their careers in commercial professions and 31 in technical professions. Such figures show how high the demand for well-trained specialists is in the region. According to the Vocational Training Act, the IHK is responsible for organizing and carrying out such examinations, which amounts to around 350,000 final examinations throughout Germany every year, as the DIHK reports.
In the exams, the young people are put through their paces, and the “evaluation sovereignty” lies with voluntary exam committees. These rely on objectivity and clarity and ensure that the exams are comparable nationwide. Requirements such as checking professional competence and avoiding one-sided focus development strategies ensure fair conditions for all examinees. Details about these standards can be found on the websites of the IHK and DIHK, including IHK and DIHK.
Excellent services
Particularly noteworthy are the test performers who were honored during the ceremony: Sophie Balog, saleswoman at Netto Marken-Discount Stiftung & Co. KG in Höchstadt, and Sophieübelacker, office management clerk at m & i – Klinikgesellschaft in Herzogenaurach GmbH, set standards in their professions. Paul Roberts (merchant for wholesale and foreign trade management at Autohaus Josef Pickel GmbH & Co. KG Erlangen), Alexander Keiner (industrial mechanic at Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG in Herzogenaurach) and Noah Popp (mechatronics engineer, also at Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG) were also convincing.
The graduates report an exciting and educational journey that prepared them for the demands of the job market. “Having a good hand” and “not giving up” were the mottos during her training years. These prospects are of great value for the regional economy, because qualified specialists are in greater demand than ever before.
With the degree in hand, a world of possibilities is now open to the newly qualified specialists. The time for theory is over, now it's time to put the knowledge you've acquired into practice. And thanks to the solid training, they are ideally prepared to get started in their respective professional fields.
We wish all graduates much success on their future journey!
