Art for the future: Eichstätter design sustainable wall!

Wiesengäßchen, legip post code Eichstätt, Germany - A colorful new project is just around the corner in Eichstätt! On Monday, June 16, at 3 p.m., a sustainable art project in the Wiesengässchen, initiated by the Fairtrade control group of the city of Eichstätt, starts in cooperation with the art education at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (KU). The idea behind it: an artistic examination of the 17 goals for sustainable development (SDGS) of the United Nations. It is about transforming a gray wall into a bright work of art that not only delights the eyes, but also raises awareness of sustainable development.

The art students have put their way around and developed great designs in consultation with local partners and with the help of generative AI. The 51 -meter -long wall area is divided into three meters of sections, so that each sustainability goal receives its own area. There are a total of six painting dates available that will run over the coming weeks: The next meetings will take place on June 23, June 30, July 7, July 14 and 21, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The population is also cordially invited to participate!

creative participation and participation

not only watched here, but actively brought with you what you have! Those with hands -on activities, workshops and discussion rounds are on the program to jointly compiled ideas for the promotion of environmental protection and aesthetics. A special highlight will be the table discussion on July 7, where everything revolves around the exchange about sustainability. Mayor Josef Grienberger and sponsors such as Obi and the Volksbank Raiffeisenbank Bayern Mitte will be present at the presentation of the works of art who want to honor the commitment of the city and its actors.

dr. Florian Pfab heads the artistic project together with his team, consisting of Petia Knebel and Kerstin Muhr, while Dr. Dagmar Kusche and Andreas Spreng are responsible for accompaniment. The aim is to create a colorful, sustainable vision for Eichstätt, which appeals to both the environment and the hearts of people.

art as an engine for change

But how important art is in the discussion about sustainability also shows the global view. Art can inspire, create mobilization and promote dialogue through social issues, as the example of the Ludwigsburg Castle Festival shows, combine art and democracy. The idea of using art as a key to sharpening consciousness for the sustainable development goals shows an exciting direction that is also followed in Eichstätt. As the 17ziele blog, sustainable development is not only on the stages, but also in everyday creativity.

The Wiesengässchen thus becomes a scene for a splendor of colors and a platform for ideas that deals with dealing with our environment. We can look forward to the creative high -quality masterpieces that will adorn the cityscape. Be there when it says: brush and color for a greener future!
