Power failure in Ebersberg: 4,200 households affected! That's how it came about!
On Tuesday afternoon, July 22nd, 2025, the inhabitants of the three municipalities of Ebersberg, Kirchseeon and Glonn had to have a dark experience when there was a far -reaching power failure. The reason for this was an excavator that damaged a cable on a private construction site in the ring road, which left around 4,200 households without electricity. Merkur reports that the power supply in Ebersberg failed to fail. In Kirchseeon and Glonn, however, the failure was significantly longer, although in Glonn the electricity was only available again after about an hour.
The incident also led to the police on the Aldi/Edeka site in Eglharting, when an alarm system triggered by the power failure raised the alarm. Fortunately, there was no acute danger situation. The first members of the Bayernwerk were quickly on site and worked to fix the cause of the failure.
Bayernwerk informs
The Bayernwerk experts recommend that the households should first check the scope of the disorder and, if necessary, report a power failure via the hotline or the company's website. In addition, sensitive electrical devices should be separated from the power grid in order to avoid possible damage caused by voltage peaks. The Süddeutsche emphasizes how important it is to react quickly and effectively in such cases.
As early as Friday morning, there was also a large -scale power failure in Ebersberg, which primarily affected the west of the district town. Numerous reports from those affected were registered on the interactive interference card of the Bayernwerk. A defect in a medium-voltage cable between the Flossmann and Pleinigerstrasse was the reason for the short-term failure. This interruption lasted between 9.45 a.m. and 10.45 a.m. and affected around 1000 households. In order to connect all households to the network again as quickly as possible, the supply was temporarily established via other connections and hardworking technicians worked to repair the defective cable.
power failures are always an unpleasant matter, especially when the temperatures rise and you rely on electrical cooling. The recent experiences in Ebersberg, Kirchseeon and Glonn once again show how important a robust power grid and quick help are in the event of a crisis. Stay informed and pay attention to the information of the energy suppliers - so you are well prepared if there is a breakdown again.
