As spokesman for the districts in the Munich Transport and Tariff Association (MVV), he has made a significant contribution to improving mobility offerings. His work in the district council and the initiatives to strengthen municipal institutions are also examples of his commitment. Mayor Christian Bauer from Grafing and Leonhard Spitzauer from Vaterstetten congratulated the honorees and acknowledged their responsibility and contribution to the region's municipal development.

Thomas Huber, who has also been active in local politics since 1996 and joined the Ebersberg district council in 2002, has been particularly committed to youth, sport, education and economic development throughout his career. Huber was active in the Upper Bavarian district council from 2003 to 2013 before giving up his seat to become a member of the state parliament. His award recognizes the numerous initiatives he has undertaken to promote social and economic life in Grafing.
