Landauer Volksfest 2024: Pagan starts on June 28th!

Landau, Deutschland - The waiting will soon come to an end! The eagerly awaited Landau folk festival starts on Friday, June 27th. In particular, the Volksfest extension, which begins at 5 p.m. in Gärtnerstrasse, attracts many visitors. The Isarbrücke is closed due to construction work, which is why the pageant has to take a new route: from Gärtnerstraße via Straubinger Strasse, Dr.-Schlögl-Platz and Harburger Straße to the sports grounds on Harburger Strasse. A joint stand concert of all music bands will enrich the event.

The participants are asked to be at 4:45 p.m. at the latest at their installations. Parking is available on the areas on the Volksfestplatz, the carpenter or the B 20 parking lot. Parking in residential areas is not allowed, however, since this could affect residents and rescue workers. If you want to take part in the pageant, you will receive the beer signs from Petra Sicheneder in the town hall (room 105) on the days 23. to 25 June. A pick -up after the pageant in the marquee is also possible.

The constellation regulations for the pageant is determined as follows:

• Zug 1: riding fans, unicyclists, festival chapel, brewery car, guests of honor, city chapel, schools, clubs.
• Zug 2: Deggendorfer Stadlmusikanten, Schützenvereine, Radler-Verein, FC Bayern Fan Club.
• Zug 3: Spielmanns and fanfare train, fire brigade groups.
• Zug 4: music band, football sports club, nature lover, warrior and reservist comradeship.

already a day later, on June 28th, the folk festival will continue with a ceremonial opening in the marquee. At 4:30 p.m. there is a stand concert in front of the town hall, followed by the pageant at 5:00 p.m. The first 200 visitors get a folk festival glubbal with the 800-year logo of the city of Landau. The highlights are also the large brilliant fireworks at 10:30 p.m. and the "Day of the good neighborhood" with brass band.

a festival for the whole family

The folk festival is not only an event for the Landauer, but also a magnet for tourists who want to experience Bavarian culture and hospitality up close. With a varied program, the festival offers a lot of entertainment. On Saturday, for example, the party band emergency exit in the marquee will create a great atmosphere.

The celebrations are part of the 800th anniversary of the city of Landau, and Mayor Matthias Kohlmayer will warmly welcome the festival visitors. In view of the closure of the local brewery Krieger, which is traditionally also represented at the Volksfest, the community and traditions are placed more.

Sunday offers space for sporting activities with a boxing match in the marquee and musical performances. Seniors in particular will get their money's worth on Monday: a senior afternoon with special program items is on the plan. In addition, a family afternoon will take place on Tuesday, in which the families are surprised with reduced driving prices.
