Church meets the tavern: Cultural event inspires in Indersbach!

On Sunday afternoon, a special event took place in the St. Jakobus branch church in Indersbach under the motto "Church & Wirtshaus". This event was organized by Catholic adult education in the district of Dingolfing-Landau and the district's tourist office and started at 4 p.m. A highlight was the church leadership, which was headed by speaker Manfred Buchta. He gave the participant: exciting insights into the various building styles of the church and told about the purchase of two bells in 1950 with a weight of 400 and 250 kilograms. He also addressed the development of church affiliation from Obergrafendorf to Dornach to today's parish association Eichendorf.

After the informative leadership, the attendees gathered to sing together under the direction of Stefan Ramoser, head of the regional KEB Dingolfing-Landau. This ensured an atmospheric atmosphere that underlined the connection of the community. Afterwards we continued to the Gasthof Thalhauser Hof in Arnstorf, which not only enthusiastic about culinary delights, but also comes up with an interesting story.

Katharina Reiter and Florian Zauner presented the Thalhauser Hof and its history. Originally a cowshed, it was converted into an inviting inn in 2011. Here guests can not only eat well, but also feel that family agriculture is lived here. The host family uses even produced products such as wheat, corn and potatoes, and the meat comes from local butchers. Wild from hunters and trout triftern complement the offer.

"Church & Wirtshaus" has been an established format since 1999 that originated in Regensburg and is now very popular in Bavaria. This series has been organized in the Dingolfing-Landau district since 2003, and 93 events have already been held to date. The concept combines churches and taverns as cultural meetings and offers an exciting mix of history and Bavarian way of life. Traditional occasions such as baptisms, weddings or funerals are often continued in the inn after the service.

Birgit Scholz from the tourist office presented the participants small gifts at the end as a thank you for their participation. Admission was free and a prior registration was not necessary - so everyone was invited to take part in this convivial afternoon. Events like this have the character of strengthening the community and keeping the culture of the region alive.
