Waldbrand in Wolframs-Eschenbach: hunter injured, fire brigade in action!

On Wednesday evening, June 25, 2025, a car fell on flames in a forest area near Wolframs-Eschenbach. The 71-year-old driver, a legitimate hunter, had driven to a forest west of Selgenstadt and got stuck with his vehicle. While he was waiting for help, the grass lit under the car due to the heat. The fire spread quickly and captured both the vehicle, which burned down completely, and around 9,600 square meters adjacent forest.

strong emergency services of the surrounding fire departments fought the flames and were able to extinguish the fire until around 8:15 p.m., with only a few embers. When the police were looking for the driver at home, he was found in a worrying state of health - heavily dehydrated and in need. He was immediately taken to the hospital. The total damage due to the enormous flames is still unclear, while the Heilsbronn police inspection is making further investigations.
