Tragic bathing accident in Inzell: 15-year-old drowns in the bathing lake

Inzell, Deutschland - A tragic incident occurred on Thursday, June 19, 2025, in the swimming pool in Inzell, when a 15-year-old Syrian boy was lifelessly recovered from a bathing lake. The boy was part of a group of around 30 children and adolescents who visited the bathroom with supervisors. After disappearing into the non -swimmer area, an immediate search was initiated. Around 4:30 p.m., a bathing guest discovered the boy under water at a depth of around three meters.

A accidental doctor immediately started with resuscitation attempts, who were then continued by an emergency doctor. Unfortunately, all of these efforts remained without success, and the emergency doctor could only determine the death of the young person. The Traunstein criminal police have taken over the investigation, but so far there has been no evidence of an external negligence. The relatives and friends of the deceased boy were looked after by the crisis intervention team, while the circumstances of the incident are further examined.
