Westendstraße / Gerberstraße, 95111 Rehau, Deutschland - On Thursday afternoon, a senior woman from Rehau was the victim of an unscrupulous fraud. An unknown caller pretended to be a police officer and manipulated the woman with a fake story about a fatal traffic accident of a relative, for whom she should suddenly pay a deposit. Under pressure, the elderly woman put her saved and valuable objects in a pocket and handed them over to an unknown man on Westendstrasse / Gerberstrasse.

The pick -up was about 40 years old, 180 centimeters tall and described with short brown hair. He spoke German without accent and wore a white short -sleeved shirt. The criminal police Hof has taken up the investigation and asks the population for clues. Anyone who saw suspicious persons or vehicles on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. should report immediately on 09281/704-0
