On Tuesday afternoon, June 19, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on the route between Unteregg and Oberegg, which caused excitement in the region. A 48-year-old motorcyclist, who tried to overtake a car, overlooked an oncoming vehicle and crashed head-on in his side. The collision was so violent that both road users-the 48-year-old biker and the 40-year-old driver of the car-spent serious injuries.

The car driver was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, while the motorcyclist was flown to a clinic by rescue helicopter. The accident caused immense damage of around 20,000 euros, although both vehicles were no longer ready to drive after the accident and had to be towed. The Unteregg fire brigade blocked the road for the accident recording, which was led by the Mindelheim police.
