On Saturday afternoon, around 3:30 p.m., several emergency calls reached the police via smoke development in a forest near Postau, LKR Landshut. A fire with an area of ​​around 4000 square meters was found. Around 160 firefighters were quickly on site and determined the extinguishing attack. After around two hours, they managed to extinguish the flames, but some embers continue to be fought. The use is expected to continue until night.

First estimates put the property damage in the middle four -digit range. Fortunately, there was no danger for residents at all times. The La10 district road remains closed for several hours, diversions are set up. The police currently have no information on the cause of the fire, the investigation continues. In view of the existing drought, the Landshut police warn again of the acute risk of forest fire.
