Driver runs over pedestrians in Olching: tragic drama at the transition!

On July 10, 2025, a tragic accident occurred in Olching when a 33-year-old Kroate and his VW Tiguan came into the pedestrian and bike path at around 3:15 p.m. and caught a 57-year-old man from the front. Despite bravely attempts at resuscitation of passers -by and the alarmed emergency services, the victim died of his serious injuries at the scene of the accident.

The person who caused the accident was interviewed by the police and an alcohol test showed no abnormalities. His driver's license was ensured and he now has to answer for several violations of the law. The property damage is estimated at around 12,000 euros. The exact circumstances that led to the fateful entry into the blocked area are still unclear. The investigation by the police, in cooperation with the Munich public prosecutor's office, is in full swing, while the investigators are urgently looking for witnesses who can report to the Olching police at 08142/2930.
