In the night of Monday, July 7, 2025, a devastating fire broke out in a row house in the Wolkersdorf district of Schwabach. The inferno, which was reported around 2:25 a.m., switched to two neighboring houses at lightning speed. Fortunately, all residents were able to flee in good time, while the fire brigade immediately began to fight the fire and prevented the flames from spreading to surrounding buildings.

The approximately 40 evacuated residents were cared for by a Johanniter care group on site, while a VAG line was given to help them. Fortunately, there were no injuries, the exact damage heights are currently still unknown. The Schwabacher Criminal Police has taken up the investigation into the cause of the fire and will carefully check all information.
