Investigators have dug a highly professional cybercrime network in a spectacular attack, the members of which have impressive IT knowledge and first-class equipment. Thanks to the rapid use of the mobile forensics laboratory "Paladin" of the Upper Franconia police headquarters, the officials were able to secure crucial digital traces and decipher the complicated network.

Supported by IT experts and cybercrime specialists from several police directorates, including Amberg, Regensburg and the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office, the investigators not only succeeded in confiscating extensive hardware and storage media, but also to open encrypted data carriers quickly. This successful intervention shows how well the authorities are set up to take the threats from the cyber space.
