On August 5, 2025, a 31-year-old man was targeted by the police in Magnusstrasse in Kempten after he had screamed loudly and for no apparent reason. During the police control, he reacted upset and verbally threatened the officials. When he wanted to escape his personal details, he suddenly hit two police officers.

The situation escalated when the man tried to flee to his apartment. The police used trimmings and pepper spray, but these measures initially had no effect. Despite considerable resistance, the emergency services finally managed to captivate the man with a high effort. A total of six officers were slightly injured in the incident.
