On Wednesday evening, June 25, 2025, a 72-year-old man was brutally attacked on the Isar meadows in Eduard-Schmid-Straße. The senior parked his car when an unknown 26-year-old tried to sit down in the passenger seat. After a dispute, the attacker followed the 72-year-old on foot and hit him several times before he fled. Witnesses immediately alerted the police while the injured was taken to the hospital.

Thanks to a quick search, the suspect could only be arrested a short time later near the crime scene. The Munich aggression showed the officials and had to be secured with handcuffs. When arrested, there were physical and verbal attacks on the police officers, but they remained on duty. The 26-year-old was taken into custody, but released the following day. He is now faced with an investigation into assault and an assaulting attack on enforcement officers.
