Economy in Southeast Upper Bavaria: Companies fight with challenges!

Berchtesgadener Land, Deutschland - The mood in the economy of Southeast Oberbayern is currently more mixed. According to the current IHK economic report, who interviewed companies from Berchtesgadener Land, Altötting, Mühldorf, Traunstein and the city and district of Rosenheim, the IHK economy index rose from 102 to 107 points. However, the region remains below the long -term average of 114 points. The assessment that 28% of companies classified their business as well as 17% are dissatisfied. The concerns about demand are also great due to the high prices for energy and raw materials, which load 59% or 55% of the companies.

Another challenge is the lack of personnel from which 56% of companies suffer. Many companies have to become creative here to find suitable specialists. And while 19% of the companies hope for a positive financial year, 16% expect deterioration. These different expectations are also reflected in the investment plans: 25% plan to invest more, while 20% want to return investments. Andreas Bensegger, the chairman of the IHK regional committee Rosenheim, expresses careful optimism, but does not see a clear turnaround.

economic policy framework

If the economic political framework is considered closer to the economic policy conditions, the situation quickly becomes critical. According to the DIHK general manager Helena Melnikov, 60% of companies in Germany feel burdened by this as the greatest business risk. This is a negative record that reflects the general uncertainty. The forecasts indicate that economic output in Germany will decrease for the third time in a row in Germany, which could represent the longest phase of weakness in post -war history. Such prospects naturally also affect the regional economy.

In industry, the situation is particularly tense: According to the DIHK, only 19% rate their business situation as good, while almost a third report on decline. Those who are considered positive note that the framework conditions would soon have to improve in order to secure future growth and jobs. Reform pressure on politics is high - it needs less bureaucracy, affordable energy and a functioning infrastructure to relieve the companies.

negative expectations and labor market

The general business expectations are also not rosy. While over 30% of companies expect deterioration in the future, only 12% plan to build up employment. Almost 22% have personnel loss in their considerations. These signs make the precarity of the labor market situation in the region, with a further increase in unemployment.

Overall, it can be seen that the companies in the region focus on maintaining substance instead of promoting innovation and growth. Only 22% of companies surveyed plan more investments, while 40% of declines expect. This could indicate a general lethargy that will make it difficult for the future federal government to create trust and planning security.

So it remains exciting how the situation will develop in the coming months. However, Andreas Bensegger also sees opportunities for entrepreneurship and growth in the region. Despite all the challenges, the companies repeatedly demonstrate their courage and innovative strength.
