On June 13, 2025, an exciting innovation is on the plan in Bayreuth: The Walk of Wagner is expanded to include a significant topic that revolves around the residential place of the famous composer Richard Wagner. The focus is not only on the various apartments, but also the hotels in which Wagner lived, and the traces he left. The regions of Saxony, Franconia, Upper Bavaria, Bavarian Swabia, Lower Saxony, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Latvia and the Czech Republic are included. Fränkischer Tag reports of these multifaceted stations of his life.

The Walk of Wagner combines the authentic Wagnerstätten between the Haus Wahnfried and the Festspielhaus in Bayreuth. Here, visitors can immerse yourself in the world of the composer and learn how his place of life and work looks. Diverse information about the original locations is not only presented in the form of 17 characteristic cubes that offer changing topics every year, but also in an accompanying Leporello that contains important stations and a city plan section. This folding plan is available in the Tourist Information at Operernstraße 22 and also provided for download on the Bayreuth Tourismus website, Bayreuth Tourism.
