On Sunday, November 16, 2025, a memorial service for Remembrance Day will take place in Bamberg. The fallen soldiers will be remembered in a moving ceremony at 2 p.m. at the memorial in the cemetery on Hallstadter Strasse. Remembrance Day, originally established in 1919 and celebrated annually since 1952, represents an important opportunity to remember all those who have lost their lives in armed conflict and violent repression. According to information, this day was established in the modern sense to also commemorate the civilians who suffered during the war.
