Erlanger University Days 2025: Movement in the focus of science!
On November 7, 2025, Ansbach Castle was the scene of a special event. District President Dr. Kerstin Engelhardt-Blum received numerous guests to provide information about the 43rd Erlanger University Days. Among the participants were prominent personalities such as Mayor Thomas Deffner and professors from the Erlangen-Nuremberg University Association, including Prof. Dr. Siegfried Balleis and Prof. Dr. Norbert Kaiser.
This year's theme of the University Days, “Exercise,” plays a crucial role in many areas of life. Movement is not only the basic principle of life, but also influences areas such as nature and technology. As part of the event, visitors can expect an exciting program with six lectures by scientists from the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) and the Ansbach University of Applied Sciences.
Captivating lectures and free entry
The lectures cover a wide range of topics, including innovative therapeutic approaches against cancer metastases, climate-friendly aviation with the help of airships and solar cells, and the importance of exercise in old age. The integration of exercise into everyday life to promote health is also examined. Particular attention is paid to the influence of exercise on climate change and our language behavior.
