Diversity of art in Sulzbach-Rosenberg: 117 works delight visitors!
Art lovers in the region can rejoice: The Parsberg Art Guild has opened its largest exhibition at the LCC Sulzbach-Rosenberg. Under the promising motto “Art Diversity”, a whopping 117 works will be presented until October 2, 2025. The local artists show their creative work in various techniques, ranging from digital art and wood carving to textile works and sculptures made of ytong and soapstone. The exhibition is accessible during the regular opening hours of the VHS Amberg-Sulzbach at Obere Gartenstraße 3, admission is free - a real bargain!
The first chairwoman of the art guild, Hanna Rothen Bücher, and the curator Nora Matocza have worked hard to create a wide range of works of art. Matocza particularly highlights the diverse techniques with which the members of the art guild implemented their creative ideas. From the impressive reliefs made of lime wood to the creative representation of Ytong elephants and soapstone bananas, there are really many works of craftsmanship to discover here. Thomas Rode, the deputy director of the VHS, is enthusiastic about the quality and range of the works on display and is committed to further supporting local artists.
A space for creativity
The LCC not only offers enough space for the current exhibition, but is also an important part of the art scene in Sulzbach-Rosenberg. Art venues like this strengthen cultural diversity in the region and promote exchange between artists and the audience. In addition to the Parsberg Art Guild, there are also numerous other galleries and exhibition venues in the area that provide a glimpse of East Bavarian art. Among other things, you can find regularly changing exhibitions or creative projects that bring new talent to the surface in the Oberpfälzer Künstlerhaus and the Municipal Gallery in the Cordon House.
Anyone interested in the art scene in the region will find inspiration in different exhibition formats and creative gatherings. Annual exhibitions, workshops and openings ensure that art remains alive and constantly evolving.
Art can flourish in so many forms, and the Parsberg Art Guild's current exhibition is an excellent example of what can be achieved through community engagement. If you are looking for a creative break, then a visit to the LCC is recommended - stop by and be surprised by the variety of works of art!
