Senior trips to Dießen: Secure your seats now and experience culture!
On October 9, 2025, an exciting trip to the picturesque region around Lake Ammersee is on the program. The senior citizen and traveler training trip, organized by BBV-Touristik GmbH at the suggestion of the BBV district association Aichach-Friedberg, takes the participants to Dießen and Landsberg am Lech. Here, guests can expect not only breathtaking views, but also cultural highlights such as visits to the Marienmünster and the historic old town of Landsberg.
The early morning departures begin at 8:00 a.m. in Aichach at the Efinger depot. Shortly afterwards, the travelers continue their journey in Dasing and Mering. The comprehensive program includes a tour of the Marienmünster and the nativity scene museum in Dießen at 10:00 a.m. At 11:30 a.m. the journey continues to Landsberg, where a group lunch is planned at 12:00 p.m. After a city tour through the beautiful old town, participants still have enough time to explore the city on their own before continuing on to dinner in the Reitpark Mergenthau restaurant. The return journey to the original boarding points is scheduled for 6:45 p.m.
Costs and registration options
For this eventful day you have to pay 45.00 euros per person, which already includes the costs for travel, tours and travel insurance. Food and drinks are not included in this price. According to the cancellation conditions, anyone who cannot attend must pay half of the travel price. Diessen pottery market 2025
A cultural event that is very popular in the ceramics scene also takes place in the same region: the Diessen pottery market. Visitors have been enjoying a variety of artistic exhibits here for 25 years. More than 160 exhibitors from 14 countries present their work, and the event has developed into one of the most important industry meetings.
From Thursday to Sunday, the exhibits can be viewed in the Diessen cultural forum “Blue House”, while the competition for the Diessen Ceramics Prize takes place in the historic Traidtcasten next to the Marienmünster. A special highlight this year is the awarding of the “Young Ceramics Promotion Prize” to offer new talents in ceramic art a platform. The market's opening times are daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the works of art on offer leave nothing to be desired.
