Big cycling in the Wittelsbacher Land: 400 starters on tours!

The cycle tour in Wittelsbacher Land attracts numerous cycling enthusiasts every year. Last Sunday it was that time again: Around 400 participants flocked to the event, which started on the hard court in front of the quadruple gymnasium of the high school in Aichach. The starting signal was fired at 7 a.m. sharp. From family cyclists to experienced hobby athletes, there was something for every age group and fitness level. The organizers started their work at 5 a.m. to prepare everything - setting up tables, setting up the registration desk and stocking the food stand. The supporting program ensured a lively atmosphere and entertainment in the start and finish areas.

The routes at a glance

The participants could choose between several routes that led through the attractive landscape of the Ecknachtal and Paartals:

  • Strecke A: 154 Kilometer, Start zwischen 7 und 8 Uhr, Kosten 18 Euro
  • Strecke B: 132 Kilometer, Start zwischen 7 und 8:30 Uhr, Kosten 18 Euro
  • Strecke C: 92 Kilometer, Start zwischen 7:30 und 9:30 Uhr, Kosten 15 Euro
  • Strecke D: 56 Kilometer, Start zwischen 7:30 und 10 Uhr, Kosten 10 Euro

Despite the different distances and levels of difficulty, the main motivation for many participants was the shared fun and enjoyment of cycling. The participation of Fabian Schormair, a professional from the Red Bull Cycling Team, was a particular highlight.
