Marktredwitz launches initiative for more safety: ten defibrillators to improve first aid care.

Marktredwitz receives 10 defibrillators: saving lives for clubs!”
The “10 Defis for Marktredwitz” initiative was launched in Marktredwitz. EHS Hochfranken and the city of Marktredwitz are working together to ensure that local clubs are equipped with automated external defibrillators (AED). That's a big deal, because the goal is to significantly improve first aid care in the region. For just 740.00 euros including VAT, clubs are offered a life-saving device that they can use in an emergency. Wiesentbote reports that this price reduction was made possible by Hermann Krisch from EHS Hochfranken and a subsidy from the city.
The devices provided, the Primedic HeartSave Y type, are not only semi-automated, but also enable manual shock delivery. These devices are even suitable for children aged one and over - a clear plus point for the safety precautions in the clubs.
Safe instructions for everyone
Another important aspect of this initiative is the training of club members. Hermann Krisch offers instruction that meets the requirements of the Medical Devices Act. This includes the initial commissioning of the defibrillators and comprehensive training so that the club members know exactly how to act in an emergency.
The official start of the campaign took place on July 12, 2025 during the MAKaktiv Day. Interested club representatives had the opportunity to obtain detailed information at the EHS Hochfranken stand.
Contact and further information
Anyone who would like to become part of this important initiative has various contact options. Anyone interested can contact those responsible directly by telephone at 09231/5038051 or via the email address info@ehs-hochfranken.de. Further information can also be found on the EHS Hochfranken website www.ehs-hochfranken.de.
The initiative shows once again how important it is to promote healthcare in the region. With the targeted use of defibrillators, the clubs not only contribute to their own safety, but also to the safety of the entire community.
