Successful start to the season in Treuchtlingen

The running season has already started Treuchtlingen spring run started, which is considered the second stop of the runners cup. Among the 139 participants there were also numerous local heroes at the start who demonstrated their achievements. In particular, the run over the officially measured distance of 10 km, which was completed in three laps, made for exciting competitions.

The athletes of the La Carrera Tri-Team were also able to record successes: Tim Frisch came in 6th place and achieved a time of 36:03 minutes, while Martin Heinloth and Michael Gründl finished just behind him. The conditions were windy, but that didn't dampen the mood that day in Treuchtlingen!

For the younger athletes, the Memmert Student Cup was a great opportunity to show themselves. Here Lennart Walter achieved 2nd place in the U10 and Laura Gründl achieved 3rd place in the U12. It is always pleasing to see how the talent develops and enriches running in the region.

When it comes to physical activity, health should not be neglected. The German Athletics Association (DLV) is actively committed to the health of runners. A new, internationally validated questionnaire, developed by the Humboldt University of Berlin, will be integrated into the registration process. The questionnaire offers the opportunity to assess health risks and, if necessary, recommend a medical consultation, which is intended to raise awareness of preventive health care among runners, as leichtathletik.de notes.

So we look forward to the upcoming running events with optimism and anticipation, which promise a real experience in our region not only for health-conscious people, but also for sports-loving spectators!
