The connection to hip-hop culture cannot be overlooked. Graffiti is an unmistakable part of this culture, which was created in the late 70s and early 1980s in the South Bronx and other districts of New York. It has now spread worldwide and shaped modern music and party culture through its artistic innovations. 5-elements.org explains that ... the hip-hop movement conveys a variety of values: it fights against structural racism and for social participation, while at the same time promoting creativity and identity. Keywords such as "Express Yourself" and "Fight the Power" become powerful mantras for the next generation in this context.

In view of all of these developments, it becomes clear: Weiden is not only a place where graffiti is created, but also a place where this art plays an important role in education and society. The vernissage of "Power Drip" is thus part of a greater movement that inspires young people and stimulates creative development.
