Record numbers at the fishing festival in Tirschenreuth – a feast of culinary delights!

Last weekend saw the fishing festival organized by the Stiftland Fishing Association. V. in Tirschenreuth experienced a real boom in visitors. In bright sunshine, guests flocked to the forecourt of the Fischerhütte on Fischerhüttenweg. You had never seen such a rush - the rush was fantastic!

Visitors were particularly impressed by the culinary offerings: almost 1,000 freshly prepared trout, in various variations such as smoked, grilled, in the form of trout pizza or even as trout kebab, were very well received. The club's smoking team ensured a continuous supply, and by 3 p.m. on Sunday all the trout had already been completely sold out. “There’s something going on!” says chairman André Röckl, pleased about the great response.

Children's entertainment and music until late at night

But the fishing festival offered much more than just fresh fish. There was a colorful program for the little guests with a bouncy castle, face painting and children's tattoos. On Saturday evening the band Wyatt Earp provided musical entertainment, while on Sunday you could enjoy the performance of Manfred Raschke and the band Tonix. Those who wanted to party until the night had plenty of opportunities to exchange anecdotes over beer and other drinks in the bar with DJ Reass.

We were well prepared for the musical entertainment on Saturday evening from 7:30 p.m., guaranteeing an exuberant atmosphere. “The club members have once again shown a good hand,” said Röckl, who praised the volunteers who made a significant contribution to the success of the festival.

Next events and a ride home

The fishing festival was not only a culinary highlight, but also a place for social gatherings. On Sunday lunchtime, guests were treated to coffee and cake before the evening ended with live music. Anyone who wanted a safe return home could use the home transport service, which was available around Tirschenreuth from 8:30 p.m. The club's next event, the “Culinary Christmas”, will take place on December 13th on the club premises.

With such a great success, the fishing festival will probably attract many visitors again next year. Whether culinary delicacies or a varied entertainment program - the fishing festival has established itself as a fixed date in the Tirschenreuth event calendar. The anticipation for the next highlights is already increasing!
