Something is happening in the charming town of Tirschenreuth! The cultural program for the 2025/26 season was presented yesterday in the Kettelerhaus, and the anticipation is great. The season will begin with theAutumn SerenadeOpens on Sunday, October 19th at 6 p.m. The wind ensemble of the Saxon Wind Philharmonic Leipzig will play here and present works by greats such as Richard Strauss and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
There's one on Friday, December 12thHomage to Caterina Valentefurther. Antje Rietz and her band promise a varied program that includes old hits, Italian music, jazz and much more. The anticipation for this evening is guaranteed!
The year 2026 will then be with oneNew Year's concerton January 9th at 7:30 p.m. The Hofer Symphoniker under the motto “Hola 2026!” will create a musical journey through works by Manuel de Falla and Georges Bizet with the Spanish soprano Leonor Bonilla and the Chilean conductor Luis Toro Araya.
A thrilling finale
The crowning finale is the German premiere of“Black Mountain”on March 15, 2026. The play, which is staged by Theatergastspiele Fürth, is a psychological thriller by Brad Birch. Here, crisp dialogue art meets exciting topics such as escape from the past and interpersonal conflicts. The actors Alexander Milz, Rebecca Lara Müller and Mirja Henking bring the story vividly to the stage, which is about a couple who dares to make a new beginning in a remote hut. And the whole thing under the impressive lighting design, which creates an eerie atmosphere.
