Festive honor for Tirschenreuth masters and technicians on July 31st!
A very special day is being prepared in the picturesque district of Tirschenreuth: the honoring of successful graduates of vocational training courses is just around the corner! On Thursday, July 31, 2025, a festive event will take place in the large meeting room of the district office, which is dedicated to the newly-minted master craftsmen, technicians and specialists and business economists. These graduates successfully completed their training between January 1st and December 31st, 2024. How Upper PalatinateECHO reports, District Administrator Roland Grillmeier will be present and honor the achievements of the graduates.
The event promises an entertaining program - the Tirschenreuth District Music School will provide the musical accompaniment. In addition, Dr. Jürgen Helmes, managing director of the IHK Regensburg for the Upper Palatinate/Kelheim, addressed those present as the guest of honor.

Educational situation and challenges
In this context, it is noteworthy that the Chambers of Commerce and Industry (IHKs) carried out a total of 55,879 further training examinations in 2023 DIHK shows. This is a decrease of 1,919 exams compared to the previous year. Nevertheless, 39,103 of the graduates were successful, which underlines the importance of further training in times of a shortage of skilled workers.
Especially at a time when the number of participants in statutory training courses is declining, honoring successful graduates is even more valuable. It shows that people are willing to invest in their future and improve their skills. Therefore, the Tirschenreuth district's commitment to holding such honors is a step in the right direction to make the importance of continuing vocational training visible.
