An exciting time for SG Söcking/Starnberg: After a successful promotion to the district class, coach Gerald Lang is retiring. After two years on the sidelines, Lang has decided to give up his coaching job and concentrate more on the private life and games of his son, professional footballer Niklas Lang. Gerald Lang looks back on an impressive 44-year career as a coach and is now saying goodbye on a sporting high. Valentin Hüther's goal in the 52nd minute secured the point that led to the championship. In the game, SV Haunshofen initially took the lead through Fabian Hettl in the 20th minute, but Söcking/Starnberg fought for the equalizer that made promotion perfect - a brilliant finish for Lang and the [Fupa] team.
In another relegation game, which concerned the relegation of the district league, other teams played in some thrilling encounters, which also provided exciting twists and turns. A new coach for Söcking/Starnberg
For the 2025/26 season, Radek Biernat will take over as coach at SG Söcking/Starnberg. He comes from the U17 of the district league and has proven himself as a youth leader for the large field area. Assistant coach Sascha Grießhammer will remain with the team and plans to work on building the team in the long term. An important time now begins for Biernat in which he would like to further develop the structures that have been created and pursue the club's high goals.
The district class should only be a way station for SG Söcking/Starnberg on the way to greater success. The team has already proven that it can boast team spirit and talent. The next steps have already been decided for those responsible and there is great anticipation for the coming season.
