Citizens' meeting in Starnberg: Janik answers the citizens' questions!

The city of Starnberg invites you to the last citizens' meeting before the local elections in March 2026. Mayor Patrick Janik (CSU, UWG, SPD, BLS) will give a report on the current situation in the city on Tuesday, October 14th at 7 p.m. in the Schlossberghalle. Citizens have the opportunity to ask questions, have their say or submit applications. This meeting will be broadcast live on the Internet and will later also be available on the city's homepage. To ensure inclusive participation, mobile induction systems for the hearing impaired will be provided, and a text interpreter for the deaf will accompany the event. Doors open at 6 p.m. and voters should bring their ID card as voting cards will be issued at the entrance.

Interested citizens can register their questions and concerns in advance on the city's homepage at www.starnberg.de by filling out a request form.

Memories of the last meeting

Janik, who had to experience this break in the midst of high pressure, explained that he was not in depression or burnout, but in a phase of radical exhaustion. His handling of the situation was received differently by city councilors and other politicians. While many showed respect for his candor, some have criticized the timing of the demolition as unprofessional.

Waiting for the October meeting

The citizens' meeting in question is now scheduled to take place on October 14th, and it is expected that citizens and city representatives will be able to enter into an open dialogue. Janik has already called for people not to miss taking part in the “Colorful City Festival” on Friday at 5 p.m., although he expressed concerns about the motto.

The upcoming meeting promises to be an important platform for exchange between citizens and the city administration. Given the recent events, it will be exciting to see what the mood will be among citizens and what topics they will put on the agenda.
