Golden times in Kalchreuth: Franco German Festival inspires families!

Schwabach, Deutschland - in Kalchreuth, a nice exchange between young and older friends from France and Germany was celebrated on the Ascension weekend, from May 29 to June 1. The event with the motto "Golden times with friends - Moments or Chez Amis" brought people together and provided unforgettable experiences.

The adults were able to look forward to an exciting discovery tour in the Goldschlägerstadt Schwabach. Here they experienced a Franco-German demonstration in the city museum and made an informative city tour. For the children and adolescents, the highlight was a trip to the climbing park to Endndorf. In addition, the families spent time at the picturesque Brombachsee, where a picnic together took place, followed by a relaxing shipping in the sunshine.

diverse activities for all

The program was cleverly matched to the different age groups. The families are not only drawn to the lakes, but also to Franconian Switzerland and Nuremberg and Bamberg. In the evening, the guests enjoyed regional delicacies such as "Schäufele" at their host families. These valuable exchange moments were highly valued by everyone involved.

A particularly gratifying result of this exchange: Many new host families from Kalchreuth have committed themselves and are ready to support future exchange projects. "We want to promote the next generation and continue to promote the lively exchange," says an organizer.

exchange programs for the future

In addition to the events in Kalchreuth, the Franco-German youth work (dfjw) in order to deepen the cultural understanding and language skills. These range from class activities to the Brigitte-Sauzay program for young people to offers for young adults who want to do internships in France.

The DFJW not only supports students, but also teachers and teams. You have the option of training in the management of intercultural youth groups and completing them with a certificate. A large offer that promotes the exchange between our neighbors and thus builds up future -oriented friendships.

There was also a remarkable insight into the importance of such exchange programs at the Generation Europe. Young talents had the chance to place their ideas with the President of the European Central Bank, Christine Lagarde.

In summary, it can be said that the exchange in Kalchreuth not only provided a lot of joy, but also gave impulses for future collaborations between Germany and France. The positive experiences that both the hosts and the guests were able to gain are the best proof that such encounters can make high waves and enrich the cooperation.
