Chocolate dream in Styria: Seniors Union visits Zotter!

Riegersburg, Österreich - The Senior Union Rottal-Inn recently made an exciting two-day trip to Styria, the highlights of which were not only scenic nature. The first stop of the trip led the participants to the impressive Riegersburg fortress. After a hearty snack in the picturesque environment, we went on into the fascinating world of chocolate - Zotter’s chocolate world.

A visit to Zotter’s chocolate world is like a little adventure for the senses. Here visitors experience how fine chocolate is created from cocoa beans. Every step, from roasting to grinding to rolling and conching, is carried out in small batches and specially tailored to the respective cocoa. The result is unique types of chocolate, which are made here in Riegersburg by around 220 employees. As a source of information, the PNP reports that the processes take place on site and that guests can get to know the manufacturing processes up close, which makes the chocolate world so special.

an experience for everyone

Zotter’s chocolate world offers much more than just a delicious tasting. There is a chocolate theater here that is not barrier-free, but offers a special roller tour for people in a wheelchair. This tour includes a cocoa cinema and an informative station in the foyer, where a special tasting of cocoa beans, chocolate and chocolates is waiting for the participants. A reservation is necessary for the tours and should be at least one working day in advance. Families with young children are also taken care of: parents are recommended to use a sling, while strollers can be parked in the foyer or in the cloakroom. Allergens in the products are also pointed out, because traces can be included, even if they are not expressly listed.

Special attention is also given to the guests: birthday children receive a small surprise at the cashier when presenting an ID. In addition, special tours take place in sign language for the deaf.

For dog owners, Zotter’s adventure world also offers a welcome surprise - dogs are welcome! There are 12 shut -off dog huts in the "Hunzdorf", which cannot be reserved, however. The availability is therefore not guaranteed, but an attempt is always worth it.
