Florian Pletz leads Rottal-Inn Kliniken into a new era of health!
There is a breath of fresh air at the top of the Rottal-Inn clinics: Since July 1, 2025, Florian Pletz has been managing the clinics together with Robert Koch. Pletz, 34 years old and a father from Ortenburg, succeeds Gerhard Schlegl, while Koch succeeds Bernd Hirtreiter. The Board of Directors unanimously decided on the appointment of Florian Pletz in February. He brings with him a wealth of experience in the management of hospitals and medical care centers, particularly from his time as an administrative manager and authorized representative.
Florian Pletz studied health management and has been able to acquire extensive knowledge in his career so far, which he would now like to contribute. His goal is to lead the Rottal-Inn clinics safely into the future with a sustainable and continuous strategy. Pletz sees the clinic locations as being well positioned, with clear organization and efficient structures. “There is something going on,” says the new board, and promises to master the challenges of the current hospital reform together with Robert Koch.
A strong team at three locations
The Rottal-Inn clinics are represented at three locations in the district. The first location is the house for basic and standard care in Eggenfelden, which is equipped with 275 beds. General internal medicine, geriatrics and orthopedics are offered in Pfarrkirchen, with 80 beds available here. The third location is a specialist psychosomatic clinic in Simbach. Pletz has clearly defined plans for all three facilities in order to make them future-proof and successful in the long term.
District Administrator and Chairman of the Board of Directors Michael Fahmüller in particular expresses confidence in Pletz’s expertise. He emphasizes how important it is for rural clinics to meet the challenges of the times. The course taken is considered crucial in order to continue to meet the needs of patients in the region.
The mutual exchange between Pletz and Koch is of great importance for the future of the Rottal-Inn clinics. Through their collaboration, they want to ensure that the healthcare offering in the region remains at a high level in the coming years and can offer citizens the best possible medical care. The path with Pletz and Koch seems promising - the signs point to positive change.
