Over 1000 bikers at the Toy Run: Together for children in need!
On June 18, 2025, the eagerly awaited Toy Run will take place in Marktoberdorf, where over 1,000 motorcyclists will go on a joint ride for a good cause. The event is organized by the Toy Run Mod association, which has been supporting the needs of needy children and families in the region for years. Registration begins at 1 p.m. at the Modeon festival site, where participants also receive their individual Toy Run bear.
The column starts at 3 p.m. with a comfortable average speed of around 60 km/h. The route leads through various towns around Marktoberdorf and usually takes around 90 minutes. Positive weather is forecast for the day, which should further lift the mood of the participants. In recent years, however, the Toy Run has not always been blessed with luck - heavy rains led to the cancellation of the trip in 2024, although numerous visitors had the opportunity to donate and enjoy the good atmosphere with one another in a large marquee. At that time, a total of 15,000 euros were collected, with 1,000 euros coming from the Nomads MC motorcycle club and 900 euros from the Marktoberdorf action group, Merkur reported.
An event with heart
Since 2003, the Toy Run has thrilled not only motorcycle enthusiasts, but also numerous onlookers who willingly donate to the good cause. 100 percent of all contributions collected go to needy families in the region to finance school supplies, clothing, rent or shopping vouchers.
The challenge for other road users during the exit cannot be overlooked, as the local fire departments have to close off areas of the route to ensure that everything runs smoothly. However, this patience is well spent for such a charitable campaign.
A look into the future
In 2025, the Toy Run will celebrate its 20th anniversary, which is cause for double joy. The organizers probably already have the “anniversary celebration” in mind and are looking forward to numerous participants and donations.
The Toy Run is not only one of the largest charitable motorcycle rides in southern Germany, but also an important tradition that is highly valued in the region. Events like the Toy Run connect people in one place and create a sense of community.
As in previous years, with good weather, which is also expected next Saturday, a happy festival and a dynamic outing will be held in Marktoberdorf. If the weather turns unexpectedly, we can only hope that the anticipation for the anniversary celebrations, which have been planned for over a year, cannot be diminished.
