Café Bohne: Sonthofen's new coffee shop focuses on sustainability!

The former Beans Café & Roastery in Sonthofen has been given a fresh coat of paint and will now continue to operate under the name Café Bohne. Operator Dijana Elijas took over the popular restaurant from Lukas Galeta, who is now concentrating on his coffee roasting business and direct sales. Mayor Christian Wilhelm congratulated the new owner on the opening and thereby emphasized the importance of this meeting place for the local coffee scene.

Café Bohne will continue to be a popular attraction for coffee lovers. Here guests can choose from a large selection of coffee specialties, homemade cakes as well as regional delicacies and small snacks. Particularly noteworthy is the focus on sustainability and local partnerships, which are firmly anchored in the new concept. The café is open Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. It remains closed on Sundays, giving the team the opportunity to take a breather.

Sustainability in focus

Sustainability plays a big role at Café Bohne. The coffee beans used here come from different continents and are roasted on site. The café's website emphasizes that the collective of employees can benefit from excellent coffee blends that are specifically tailored to the team's wishes. They also want to meet the highest standards when it comes to the delivery portion and offer the opportunity to order coffee in large quantities - and thus receive a 20% discount.

An important aspect of the sustainability concept is the 4C certification system, which guarantees high standards for coffee cultivation and processing. This system aims to focus on social, environmental and economic conditions and create transparent supply chains. The 4C system protects unique forests and promotes fair working conditions, which is beneficial for both producers and consumers.

By adhering to this code, Café Bohne is making its contribution to responsible coffee consumption and ensuring that the delights not only taste good, but can also be enjoyed with a clear conscience. The community of Sonthofen can therefore be pleased to welcome another example of sustainable commitment in the catering industry.

Overall, Café Bohne belongs to the category of restaurants that not only delight the palate, but also strengthen the heart. Coffee lovers from all corners are sure to get their money's worth here!
