Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate will become a culinary hotspot in October 2025: The 35th Neumarkt delicacy weeks are just around the corner and promise a feast for all the senses. From October 1st to 31st, ten renowned innkeepers from the region invite guests to discover a variety of specialties created by the fusion of regional and international cuisines. The motto “Crossover of regional world cuisines” brings exciting taste experiences to the plate that will leave no gourmet indifferent. How Neumarkt Current reports, the opening will take place in the popular Glossner Bräustübl, with the first chairman of the Neumarkt Tourism Association, Werner Thumann, officially introducing the event.

The participating delicacies, including new faces such as the Pizzeria Venezia and the Restaurant Tbiliso, attach great importance to regional and seasonal products. “The dishes are a creative interplay of local ingredients and culinary influences from all over the world,” says Thumann. Delicacies such as the “Chashushuli” beef stew, yakitori skewers made from Upper Palatinate pasture beef and Bavarian-inspired sushi variations will stand out from the menu wonderland. The additional creative touch will also be felt in Italian classics such as “Pizza ‘Xo Ko Style’”, which come with a special twist. The culinary delights are also contemporary - for example with potato pancakes with wasabi cream or Nikujaga, a Japanese venison goulash.

Culinary journey of discovery

In order to offer guests the full range of delicacies, some innkeepers have put together special extra menus. All participants receive the delicacy pass, which can be stamped until November 7, 2025 - three stamps give you the chance to win attractive prizes. The passes are available from all participating innkeepers, so that the gourmet adventure can be designed according to your mood.

Also in focus is the “Schmankerltaxi”, a cooperation with Jura-Taxi, which enables guests to travel comfortably to the various inns and at the same time ensures a safe return journey. In the modern age of taste, it is exactly what you need to discover the culinary diversity of Neumarkt without any worries.

Neumarkt is not only worth a visit because of its delicacy weeks. The city is known for its traditional breweries, the delicious Burgis dumplings and the tasty Juradistl lamb. The creative confectionery art and the famous white sausages also ensure that gourmets from near and far can expect a delicious experience. These cultural and culinary highlights will also be discussed in the upcoming Bavaria podcast “Hock di her”, which will focus on the city of Neumarkt and its culinary diversity.

With so many innovative offerings and the combination of local tradition and international flavors, it is no wonder that the Neumarkt delicacy weeks are very popular with both locals and guests. It will be interesting to see what creations the chefs will conjure up on the plates this time. So if you like good cuisine, you should mark October in red on your calendar!
