Helde in the water: Labrador saved from the Innkanal after 20 km!
Ebing, Polling, Deutschland - In an impressive rescue operation, the water guard in Töging has recovered a Labradormische from the Innkanal. The dog was driven about 20 kilometers downstream during its adventure before discovering attentive cyclists and immediately informed the rescue workers. The Waterwacht's measures initiated, together with the fire brigades from Mühldorf and Töging, led to a rapid rescue of the animal friend, who was stranded on a sandbar shortly before the power plant, like the PNP reported.
The use of the water guard was quickly coordinated and once again shows how important the cooperation of local emergency services is. "A big thank you goes to the comrades of the fire brigade and water watch," emphasizes a spokesman for the water guard. The commitment is particularly evident in the acceptance and awareness of the population to always act quickly when it comes to saving life - be it humans or animals.
water rescue in the region
The water rescue in Bavaria not only has a long tradition, but also an important task. The volunteers of the DLRG are often used on beaches and waters. They monitor the safety of bathers and water sports enthusiasts, perform first aid measures and intervene in emergencies. These activities are essential to avoid accidents and act quickly if something happens. Large parts of the water rescue services in Germany are also organized via the DLRG, as can be read on the side of dlrg
water rescue services, such as those of the DLRG, are not only designed to save people out of water, but also to support animals in similar situations. The case of the Labradormish levy is therefore a prime example of the wide range of tasks that water rescuers have to cope with.
missions and alarms
The emergency services are never far away from their next use. Almost a year ago, on May 8, 2024, the Wasserwacht Mühldorf, the DLRG and other organizations were involved in the search for a missing person at the Inn. The alarm was at the request of the police and the emergency services even used a drone to support the search. Unfortunately, the use of about four hours was without result. Fortunately, the missing person could later be taken up by a police patrol, as was documented on the Website of the Wasserwacht Mühldorf
These numerous missions underline the importance of a well -organized and motivated rescue group, which is quickly on hand in an emergency. The skills and the willingness of the teams come into play for both water accidents as well as for searches. The combination of local knowledge, teamwork and technical equipment enables the water rescuers to do their best - and often save lives.
