Promote creativity: Workshops for young artists in the Miltenberg art network

A lot is happening in the Miltenberg art network in November! Here children and young people can live out their creative talents and immerse themselves in the world of art. The Kunstnetz has put together an exciting range of workshops that are suitable for both beginners and small professionals. A highlight is the “Linocut” workshop on November 14th, which is led by Sandra Wörner. From 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., curious people aged 8 to 17 can make their own name and motif stamps. This sounds like a great opportunity to let off steam artistically!

But that's not all. The felting workshop entitled “Yes, is it Christmas yet?” begins on the same day and will take place on November 14th and 21st from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Under the guidance of Daniela Dölger, children between the ages of 6 and 12 can carry out creative projects in two sessions. On the first day a felted sheep is created and on the second day an individual felted angel is created. Who could resist that, right?

Workshop registration and further information

Registration for these workshops can be done easily via the Kunstnetz website. A tip: The registration deadline is usually around ten days before the workshop date, so be quick! For anyone interested, there is also a brochure with an overview of the annual planning and further workshop data, which is available in the Miltenberg district office, Obernburg as well as in various banks and retailers. For more information and registration conditions, you can also contact the district office's cultural department.

At the same time, the art collective yolkipalkis is hosting a new screen printing course on November 15th, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. A maximum of six participants can design their own motifs and print them on fabric and paper. The course fee is €65 per person and email registration is required. If you want to bring beautiful textiles such as T-shirts or scarves, you should be happy because they can have a certain style. Food in the form of (ice) tea and pretzel sticks is also included!

Creativity in the digital age

However, in times when digital creativity is reaching new heights through platforms like ChatGPT, which has been the talk of the town since 2022, craftsmanship remains essential. ChatGPT has also made a splash in the creative industry by having a lasting impact on creative writing and design. The AI managed to reach over 100 million users in just two months and is now one of the five most visited websites worldwide. However, there are also critical voices that warn of the challenges that this technology brings with it, such as misuse or inaccurate communication of information.

These workshops on the Kunstnetz and at yolkipalkis impressively show that creativity flourishes in many forms - whether analog or digital. Pick up your brushes, scissors and needle and bring your ideas to life!
