Over 1000 guests celebrated the successful completion of a comprehensive renovation project that took over three years. Organized by the Burg of the Castle, chaired by Claudia Hamelbeck, the event received great encouragement, despite the changeable weather.

The east Palas, the largest part of the castle of the castle, shines in new splendor after the extensive restoration. Thanks to a total funding of 8.6 million euros, provided by the federal government and the Free State of Bavaria, this ambitious project was successfully completed. In his speech, Alexander Hoffmann, member of the Bundestag, praised the impressive progress and the importance of this restoration for regional culture, while Member of the Landtag Thorsten Schwab addressed the challenges of such projects.

The reopening attracted with an extensive program that inspired children and adults equally. In the castle courtyard there was a stage from 12:00 p.m. with a varied program. The Hanke Brothers provided musical entertainment at 3:30 p.m. with a family concert, followed by an evening concert with the wild wood instrumental band. In addition to the concerts, visitors were also able to participate in tours to the history of the castle or learn more about the newly renovated premises.

Family -friendly activities were another highlight of the day. The versatile program on the entire castle area was supplemented by lectures and various offers that offered all age groups an unforgettable experience. Hambeleck was visibly pleased with the great interest and the lively participation of the visitors in this special day.
