Change at the top: Jochen Haueißen new president of the Rotary Club of Kulmbach
During the celebratory event of the Kulmbacher Kommunbräu, a change in leadership took place at the Rotary Club of Kulmbach on July 9, 2025. Jochen Haueißen took over as president from Dr. Roland Kreutzer and will go down in the club's history as the 60th president. Around 70 members of the club and their partners were invited to this special event and celebrated with a colorful program. The celebration was accompanied musically by the talented Klara, Henriette and Johann Gollner, who provided the atmospheric background music.
In his closing speech, Dr. Roland Kreutzer looks back with satisfaction on a successful year in which more than 50,000 euros were collected in donations for social projects. The highlights included initiatives such as the hands-on project “Culture in Homes”, the Christmas party and a ski meeting with friends from Kufstein. These experiences made the past year special, and the outgoing president said goodbye with best wishes to his successor.
New plans for the Rotary year
Jochen Haueißen has a lot planned for the new Rotary year. Under the motto “The good is so close,” he will introduce a new meeting structure and implement numerous exciting programs. Duet lectures and the continuation of the “Culture in Homes” project are planned. The club will also organize several tours of facilities and companies and initiate creative activities during Advent, such as an Advent calendar.
Another highlight will be the club’s 60th anniversary charter celebration in June 2026. The new vice president Klaus Buß and secretary Barbara Hahn will support Haueißen in the coming term. The Rotary Club of Kulmbach is also planning a presidential trip to Rome in spring 2026, during which the Vatican will also be visited.
