It's an early morning in Bayreuth and the streets are still quite empty. However, on June 23, 2025, around 6 a.m., an incident happened at the intersection of Am Goldenen Feld and Theodor-Heuss-Allee that made people sit up and take notice. A 31-year-old driver who was driving a Fiat collided with a 38-year-old cyclist from Kulmbach. As it turned out, the cyclist was approaching Theodor-Heuss-Allee on the left sidewalk when the accident began.

As Bayreuther Tagblatt reports, the cyclist wanted to cross the intersection to continue towards Melkendorf. A collision then occurred in the junction area, which resulted in the cyclist falling onto the road. Fortunately, he only sustained minor injuries and was immediately taken to hospital in an ambulance for further treatment. According to the authorities, there is no danger to life.
