On New Year's Eve 2025/2026 there was a mix of joy and unrest in Bavaria. In Bayreuth and Kulmbach, several people were injured due to the improper handling of fireworks. An accident even meant that a patient had to be taken to the eye clinic in Erlangen for treatment. In addition to the injuries, which mostly occurred due to improper handling of firecrackers, the fire and rescue services also recorded several fights. Causes of fire and damage
