Kronach swimmers shine: championships with 13 medals!

The DLRG Kronach district association made a strong showing at the Bavarian Lifeguarding Championships, which took place last weekend in the Crana Mare outdoor swimming pool. How np-coburg.de reported, the swimmers of the district association were able to secure fourth place among 48 competing DLRG divisions from all over Bavaria. A consistently good result that impressively demonstrated the high performance and hard work of the athletes.

In total, the individual starters from the DLRG district association Kronach achieved an outstanding 13 medals, of which 6 were gold and one was bronze. Particularly noteworthy are the performances of the seniors, who made a significant contribution to this outstanding performance. The participants' faces beamed with joy as they received their well-deserved medals. Great praise goes to the coaches and helpers who intensively prepared the athletes for this competition.

Outlook for future events

Next year, Kronach will once again be a competition venue: the Bavarian All-Around Lifesaving Championships are coming up. This event is organized by the DLRG Jugend Bayern and will take place from July 4th to 6th, 2025. The opening event begins on Friday and the individual competitions follow on Saturday. The team competition is on the program on Sunday memmingen.dlrg.de communicates.

Participants have the option to only take part on individual days. Accommodation takes place in the rooms of the Frankenwald-Gymnasium, the Siegmund-Loewe-Realschule and the Pestalozzi School, although no gender-segregated accommodation is provided. The events themselves are held in the school center's triple gymnasium and in the outdoor swimming pool (Crana Mare). Sports enthusiasts have the opportunity to purchase tickets on site for 5 euros.

Meals and participant criteria

Based on experience from previous events, catering during the competition will be offered both in the form of self-catering and communal catering. Participants can choose between different daily rates, which guarantee comprehensive catering throughout the entire weekend.

The first two places of the individual participants and the first place of the team from the Swabian 2025 qualify for the qualification. Additional teams can also register, which will give the event an exciting dynamic.

Details are also provided for carpooling after the registration deadline, so that the journey can be pleasant and uncomplicated for everyone involved.

The Bavarian Lifesaving Championships are not only a challenge for the athletes, but also a community celebration that celebrates the sporting bond and team spirit of the DLRG family.
