Former AKG high school graduates celebrate 50 years after graduation!
On November 11, 2025, the former high school graduates of class 13B from the Armin Knab High School (AKG) in Kitzingen celebrated their 50th anniversary. The “Golden Girls and Boys” from the class of 1975 had invited and numerous graduates traveled from all corners of Germany to celebrate the special event together.
The daily program offered the participants an exciting look back into their school days. Christian Hanft, a member of the AKG, led the participants through the school's newly renovated premises, clearly describing the changes between then and now. This gathering was not only a look back at the past years, but also a warm reunion with old friends.
Celebratory moments and retrospectives
Over the years, the Armin-Knab-Gymnasium has developed further and now offers a modern learning environment. The celebration was organized by Dieter Schirm, Klaus Fröhlich and Christine Erbacher, who did everything they could to make the anniversary an unforgettable event. The atmosphere was characterized by memories, warm hugs and of course one or two nostalgic anecdotes.
A special highlight of the event was the ceremonial presentation of high school diplomas to this year's graduates, including students with outstanding achievements. Two high school graduates impressively achieved an average of 1.0, while the overall average of all high school graduates was 2.34. Such achievements are also celebrated with a small accompanying program, which was accompanied by dance performances and musical contributions from graduates.
