New guide for seniors in the Haßberge district: Everything you need to know at a glance!
The Haßberge district has published a new senior guide that is intended to provide urgently needed guidance for older people and their relatives. As the Main Post reports, the brochure covers a variety of relevant topics such as care and support, health, living and mobility. In addition, social offers, leisure activities and opportunities for volunteer work are highlighted. This guide not only bundles valuable information about local offers and services, but it also contains addresses and contacts from the entire district and the municipalities within the district.
District Administrator Wilhelm Schneider emphasizes that the new guide bundles a wealth of information and thus significantly improves the dissemination of information for seniors. The newly designed brochure was created by Melinda Dorosch from the “Office for Social Affairs and Senior Citizens” department and offers a clear and practical presentation of the content. It is not only available in printed form in the Haßberge district office and in the municipal town halls, but also online at www.hassberge.de (Services subsection).
Thematic focus of the guide
The content of the senior guide is clearly structured and highlights the various thematic focuses. These topics include:
- Pflege und Betreuung
- Gesundheit
- Wohnen
- Mobilität
- Soziale Angebote
- Freizeitmöglichkeiten
- Ehrenamtliches Engagement
This comprehensive coverage gives older people and their relatives easy access to information that is crucial for a self-determined lifestyle in old age.
The German Society for Senior Counseling (DGS) has also been supporting people aged 75 and over nationwide since 2007, which underlines the importance of such guides. Like on the DGS website can be read, the focus is on promoting independence and security in old age. DGS provides relevant support and regional service providers to enable older people to have a better quality of life, for example in the areas of living space adaptation or domestic services.
With over 400,000 people advised and around 90 advisors, the DGS provides advice on self-care and offers preventative help. These initiatives are directly related to the goals of the new senior guide in the Haßberge district in order to provide the best possible support for seniors in the region.
Overall, it shows that the new senior guide in the Haßberge district is an important resource for older people and helps to sustainably improve the offering and support for seniors. Regardless of whether it is about care, leisure or social offers - this guide aims to provide orientation and promote the quality of life in old age.
